Destiny Number Calculator

The Destiny number is drawn from every letter of the full name. It speaks to the mission encoded in the syllables the bearer carries: the work the name was given to accomplish. Together with the Life Path (drawn from the birth date), it forms the foundation of a Pythagorean reading.

Each letter of the Latin alphabet corresponds to a digit from 1 to 9 (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7, H=8, I=9, then J=1, K=2, and so on). Sum every letter of the full name, then reduce by adding digits until you arrive at a single digit, unless you stop at 11, 22, or 33 (the master numbers).

The Destiny reads the full legal name as it appears on the birth certificate. A consistently-used nickname will carry its own secondary chart over time, but the legal name is the primary. Many numerologists run both and read them together.
